Over three years and across 45 countries, the Edges of Earth expedition set out to explore some of the planet’s most remote and rapidly changing ecosystems—above and below the waterline. From vanishing kelp forests to off-grid islands and fragile coastlines, the team discovered that the most powerful stories were not about collapse, but about the people holding the line.
Through encounters with scientists, Indigenous leaders, fishers, farmers, and youth activists, the film reveals a new perspective on climate resilience—one rooted in local ingenuity, cultural connection, and the belief that progress often begins in overlooked places.
Edges of Earth is a raw, cinematic journey through the frontlines of change, spotlighting those rarely seen or heard. It’s a story about finding hope where it still lives, and realizing that the future is already being built, even in the most unexpected corners of the world.
